Maoists arrested in Jharkhand
Police took steps to avert crime in the Gumla district of Jharkhand by raiding a Maoist hideout during an anti-rebel drive and nabbed five dreaded extremists, who were planning to commit heinous crimes. Deputy Superintendent of Police of Gumla, Deepak Kumar Pande said it was an important achievement for the police, as extremists were arrested before they could have spread their network in the region. The police also recovered two country made pistols, six cartridges and pamphlets.
