Lord Shiva's 'Chhari Mubarak' leaves for Amarnath
in Srinagar, Hindu pilgrims along with several saints performed the ritual of carrying the 'Chhari Mubarak' or the Lord Shiva's mace to the snow-capped mountain shrine of Amarnath in Kashmir. A large number of devotees offered prayers before the journey commenced. Speaking to mediapersons, the custodian of the holy mace, Mahant Dipinder Giri, who led an impressive procession of sadhus, said that the saints will be reaching Amarnath cave on August 2 for completion of the final ritual.
