The Coal Ministry has rubbished the allegations levelled by the BJP that it had unduly allotted 17 coal blocks to 36 companies after Sriprakash Jaiswal had assumed charge of the ministry in 2009. BJP Spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad had alleged that 17 coal blocks were allotted in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
