The Indian hockey team slumped to an all time low when it finished at the bottom of the competition, being beaten a comprehensive 3-2 by South Africa, at the London Olympics 2012 today. India ended their worst-ever Olympics in the 12th position after failing to win or draw any of their six matches. This was the sixth straight loss for the Indian team, who made a return to the Olympics after failing to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Games.
