Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who recently participated in the National Development Council (NDC) Meeting in New Delhi, has demanded a special category status and a Rs. 51,000 crore grant for Rajasthan from the 12th Five Year Plan, since the State is facing some difficult problems due to geographical conditions like regular draught and famine, scarcity of water, etc. and requested the establishment of oil refineries in the State.
