France becoming a swimming superpower
Marking the country's unprecedented success in the pool, France's top three Olympic swimmers showed off a hoard of medals at the London Games. A gold for 21-year-old Florent Manaudou in the 50 metres secured France's fourth swimming Gold at the 2012 Games and its seventh medal from the pool. Manaudou said his Olympic champion sister Laure, who won gold in the400 freestyle in Athens 2004, helped him.
