Fog grips North and Central India
Extreme winter conditions continued to send shivers across India, with a blanket of dense fog and biting cold freezing the northern region. A thick blanket of fog enveloped Delhi, which reduced visibility on the streets and severely disrupted road and air traffic. Delhites shivered as the mercury plunged to the season''s lowest of 4.8 degree Celsius. People were seen covering themselves with layers of woollen clothes as they tried to beat the cold.
