Fatwa against Kashmir's girls' rock band
After facing online threats and hate messages, Kashmir's first all girls music band 'Praagaash' is now facing a fatwa from Muslim clerics, a day after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah came out in support of the girls. Kashmir's Grand Mufti has condemned the rock band and issued a fatwa against them, saying music is bad for the society and women must be under a veil at all times. It also said that the girls should inculcate 'better values' within themselves.
