Congress faces flak over CAG row
Even though Minister of State in the Prime Minister's office V Narayanasamy denied his remark that the Government was pondering on the proposal to make the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) a multi-member body, the political fraternity slammed the Congress for infringing on the autonomy of constitutional bodies. Anti-graft crusader Arvind Kejriwal said that the selection of the CAG should be made independent from the Government's control.
