Justifying the action of banning the five IPL cricketers for their involvement in spot fixing, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said it has taken action against the players only after the charges were proved, to keep the faith of millions of people in cricket intact. Joint Secretary of BCCI, Anurag Thakur, said all of the players were exposed in a sting operation conducted by television channel 'India TV'.
