The 23-year-old gang rape victim whose assault in New Delhi triggered nationwide protests died of her injuries in a Singapore hospital. The victim, severely beaten, raped and thrown out of a moving bus in New Delhi two weeks ago, had been flown to Singapore in a critical condition by the Indian Government on for treatment. The Delhi Police has tightened security across the national capital as soon as the news of the death reached. All entry points to India Gate, where violent clashes broke out over the last weekend in the wake of the brutal assault, have been barricaded.
